There are tons of community activities that occur all over Lincoln, CA during summer season. The sun is warm and the skies are bright blue, which means there are many opportunities to spend your day out and about in the beautiful California weather. Here are just some of the events you may want to attend with a date, or to hang out with your closest friends and family.

Brushes and Brews

Date: Sunday, August 13th

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

What a better way to end your weekend than with painting and drinks. Held at the Infusion Taproom, people of all skill levels are invited to come by and work on a farm and sunflower canvas painting that will be taught by instructor Pamela Hernandez. This event will use art as a fun and relaxing opportunity for any adults who are interested in brushing up their basic painting skills. You can invite your friends to this therapeutic painting session that will be filled with learning, laughter, and tranquility. This will surely be a day to remember.

Read to a Dog!

Date: Saturday, August 19th

Time: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Location: 485 Twelve Bridges Dr, Lincoln, California 95648

Admission: Free

Whether you have young children or just want to make some new furry friends, the Lincoln Public Library is hosting a free event that includes a day of trained therapy dogs and reading. Books will be provided by the Lincoln Public Library, and all book and dog lovers of any ages are encouraged to come over to read a story to a dog. This event is made possible by Lend A Heart organization, so not only can you have fun, but you can give back to your community by attending. Come on out and join the fun at the Lincoln Public Library.

Movie in the Park – Smurfs: The Lost Village

Date: Friday, August 25th

Time: 8:15 p.m.

Location: 674 Groveland Lane, Lincoln, California 95648

Admission: Free

Located at Peter Singer Park in Lincoln, CA, there will be a free family movie night viewing the most recent Smurfs animated movie. This event will be the last of a 6 part summer series. You can bring your loved ones for a night full of movies, live music, and frozen treats. The movie will begin at sundown, until then you can kick back and relax with the live music in the park. Don’t forget your lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, and smiles!
