Placerville Local Events
I’m Ed Smith, a Placerville Car Accident Lawyer. If you live in Placerville or happen to be passing through late this summer and are looking for something to do, August is full of activities for all ages and tastes.

Where: Placerville Shakespeare Club 2940 Bedford Ave, Placerville, CA
Both local and non-local artists are invited to enter their works at this open art show. The contest will allow artists to submit paintings, photographs, drawings, and 3D art. Artists must ship their work by August 3 or bring it in person on August 4 and 5. The artwork will be displayed for visitors until August 20 when there will be an awards ceremony. The judge for the show will be Diana Coco Russel, who holds a degree in Illustration and a Master’s in Education from UCLA. Diana has worked as an animator for Warner Bros and Disney and now is a professor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
When: June 9 to August 26
Where: El Dorado Arts Council 772 Pacific Street, Placerville, CA
Local photographer Caitlin Thompson teamed up with George Wheeldon, an emeritus professor of geology to discover and portray the fascinating features of the Deep Blue Lead channel. This dead river was home to many gold veins and helped shape the history of the area as it wound through granite slabs and past lava rock formations.

Where: Historic Main Street, Placerville CA
Marvel at classic and historic cars as you walk down a closed off Historic Main Street in Placerville. Maybe you will spot a car you owned growing up or the one that you always wanted. Entries are limited to cars with the model year of 1975 or older. Awards will be given to entrants such as best of show, best paint, interior, motorcycle, and much more. There will be local food vendors there in case you get hungry and music to entertain everyone.
Summer in the Courtyard Concert Series
