In Two-Vehicle Impact Crash, Negligence Is Often Involved

Various injuries can result from a collision between two vehicles, and they can be extremely costly. It is important to understand the causes of a two-vehicle impact crash in order to prevent them. The following are some of the most common causes of collisions on highways:

  • Impairment: Intoxicated driving, distracted driving, and failure to pay attention to surroundings usually constitute driver negligence.
  • Road design and maintenance: Lesser traveled highways can be poorly maintained, which can lead to a two-vehicle impact crash. From poor signage and narrow shoulders to poor upkeep of the pavement, these problems can lead to a crash. Injury claims against the government are limited to six months. An accident lawyer is the best person to assist with filing paperwork on time. Courts will dismiss cases if they are not filed in a timely manner.
  • Other drivers, farm equipment, or animals: When a driver unexpectedly comes upon an animal in the roadway or a slow-moving vehicle, they don’t always have the time to slow down enough to avoid a collision.
  • Auto defects: A defective part or manufacturing flaw can lead to a malfunctioning automobile and pose a safety risk. Retaining your vehicle following a collision is wise because it can be inspected afterward for defects. By filing a product liability claim, you may be able to seek compensation for damages caused by a defect in an automobile.

Filing An Injury Compensation Claim in a Two-Vehicle Impact Crash

A personal injury claim can be filed when someone causes you harm because of their negligence. Among the types of compensation you may be able to recover are medical expenses incurred as a result of the accident. Moreover, you may be entitled to compensation for pain and suffering as well as the wages you lost because you were unable to work. It’s bad enough when you get injured. Those injuries should be paid for by the individual or entity responsible for causing them.
