Berkeley May Events

There is plenty to do around the community this time of year. I have compiled a list of some great Berkeley events here for you. Take a look at what’s going on and get out and meet other members of the community. Mother’s Day is just around the corner and taking your mom to one of these events just might make it a year to remember!

Eighth Annual Taste of North Berkeley

Tickets are now on sale for this popular event. All the proceeds are going to the organization of charitable activities by Berkeley Lions Community Fund for charitable activities.

Let me explain how the event works. In any order you like, visit the participating shops or restaurants. These restaurants will be marked on a map provided in the ticket booklet or can be identified by the sign out front. When you arrive at a location, you need to show the appropriate coupon and will be allowed a taste of their specialty. You can save you a booklet for future discounts when you return to your favorite places. Tickets are $30 and can be bought here.

When: Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 from 5:30 p.n. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: The Gourmet Ghetto in North Berkeley, Berkeley, CA

Himalayan Fair

This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and experience the Himalayan culture right in your neighborhood. First founded in 1983, the Himalayan fair continues to grow bigger every year. There is a large variety of vendors and entertainment for children and adults. Visit the fair at Live Oak Park for shops, Tarot cards, crafts, live music, Ayurveda, massages, and travel information. This is a unique experience to celebrate diversity in our community. Parking will be limited.
