Yuba County Crash Kills Two

California Highway Patrol (CHP) has reported that two people passed away during a Yuba County crash that took place on Friday, February 28, 2020. According to county officials, the decedents included a 39-year-old woman from Oroville as well as a 22-year-old woman from Forbestown. The full identities of the decedents have not yet been reported. According to police, the crash only involved one car, and no other people suffered trauma as a result of the crash.

Collision Details

The crash happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Frenchtown Road just south of the intersection at Miracle Way. The two women were reportedly driving southbound on Frenchtown when their vehicle entered a curve. As the vehicle traveled through the curve, the driver apparently lost control. Police say preliminary reports suggest that she attempted to regain control of the vehicle, but overcorrected, causing the car to travel off-road, eventually crashing into a nearby tree.

Accident witnesses alerted CHP to the incident, and emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. When they reached the crash site, response teams found that both the driver and passenger were critically injured. Sadly, both women were officially pronounced deceased on-site.

Investigation

CHP has indicated that their investigators are actively attempting to determine what factors caused this terrible accident. However, no suspected causes have been mentioned by officials so far. In many cases, single-vehicle collisions like this one happen for a reason outside of the driver’s control. These can include other reckless drivers, issues with malfunctioning car parts, large potholes or other roadway defects, and more.

Additionally, investigating collisions without being able to get testimonies from any of the people involved can lead police to overlook critical evidence. To ensure that the crash is investigated thoroughly, it’s important to reach out and get help from an experienced wrongful death lawyer. A skilled lawyer will be able to dedicate their resources and knowledge to make sure the crash is investigated to the fullest extent.

The Cost of Fatal Auto Accidents

Families affected by fatal accidents are often left in a very difficult position. The sudden loss of a loved one can be emotionally devastating, and many people feel overwhelmed by grief after such a traumatic event takes place. The grieving process can make it difficult to live your daily life, and many individuals need to take time away from their responsibilities in order to mourn.

Furthermore, accident fatalities can also cause major financial issues. The death of a loved one can mean losing an important income source or access to services that your family relies on. In many cases, families are unsure of how they will be able to afford to live their lives after their loved one has passed away.

However, people in this situation are often able to get help through working with a lawyer to file a wrongful death claim. By holding negligent parties like auto manufacturers and government bodies liable, families can frequently claim compensation for a wide range of damages, helping them have financial security in a very difficult time.
