Three People Hurt in Dixon Hit-and-Run

On Sunday, June 21, 2020, three individuals reportedly suffered injuries during a Dixon hit-and-run auto accident. The collision happened in the early hours of the morning on Highway Interstate 80 and involved three vehicles. California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicated that none of the injured individuals suffered critical trauma and that officers are still trying to locate the missing driver and vehicle.

Crash Information

The collision took place at around 1:22 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-80 just past the exit for Pedrick Road on the northern side of Dixon. Details about the events leading up to the accident were not available at the time of reporting. However, CHP indicated that two of the involved vehicles were a Nissan Versa and a 2017 Honda Accord, both driven by residents of Sacramento. A description of the vehicle that fled the accident scene has not been reported.

Emergency responders reached the crash scene shortly after it took place and discovered that three people had been injured. An ambulance was reportedly called to the collision scene in order to render aid.

Investigation of Dixon Hit-and-Run

As officers continue to try to locate the missing driver and vehicle, CHP has asked that anybody who may have witnessed the crash or has information that could help with investigations to get in touch and report what they know. Callers should contact the Solano CHP by calling (707) 917-4300.

Hit-and-Run Accidents and Recovering Compensation

After a serious car accident, injured people are often able to get the compensation they need to pay for medical bills and other damages by filing an injury claim. By holding negligent parties such as reckless drivers responsible, people are often able to get the funds they need to have stability while they recover from their injuries. However, with hit-and-run accidents, crash survivors often are unsure of how they will be able to obtain compensation when the negligent driver can’t be found.

While missing hit-and-run drivers are often located after police investigations, injured individuals may be able to claim compensation even if the reckless motorist is never found. This is possible by using a part of your own insurance called “uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.” However, policies in California don’t always include this kind of coverage and insurance companies may not offer the full amount of payment that you deserve. To make sure that you are able to obtain fair compensation, it’s critical to have help from a skilled Dixon personal injury lawyer prior to taking any kind of legal action.

Finding a Good Attorney

Many people worry about whether or not they will be able to find a lawyer who has enough experience and skill to effectively take on their case. While it is very important to have a lawyer you know is competent, it doesn’t have to be hard to find one.
