Downtown Berkeley Site of Fatal Accident

A truck driver heading through downtown Berkeley on October 20 reportedly caused a fatal accident when a man in a wheelchair was hit in an intersection. The accident happened along Bancroft Way near Shattuck Avenue around 11:55 a.m. The wheelchair user was transported to Oakland Highland Hospital, where he died later, according to Berkeley Police Department spokesperson Byron White. 

Accident on Adeline Street Kills Motorcyclist

A motorcyclist fatality accident occurred in Berkeley on June 12 when the rider crashed. The collision occurred around 12:03 a.m. along Adeline Street near Stanford Street and Alcatraz Avenue, and shortly afterward, calls came in to the Berkeley Police Department. Officers arrived to find that the rider, around age 50, had died in the collision. He did have a helmet on at the time of the crash.
