Highway 121 Rollover Causes Injuries

On Monday, June 1, 2020, California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that a Highway 121 rollover left at least one person injured. Reports indicated that the crash involved multiple vehicles, including a pickup truck and a sedan, as well as a third vehicle that left the scene. Officers indicated that the missing vehicle may have been a U-haul. The collision remains under investigation at this time.

Crash Details

According to information from CHP, the crash happened at about 3:45 p.m. on Highway 121 in the area near Haire Lane between Napa and Sonoma. While police indicated that both the pickup truck and a white-colored sedan overturned as a result of the crash, details about the events leading up to the collision haven’t been reported. CHP indicated that the U-haul suspected to have been involved in the crash was last seen driving west on 121.

Responders reached the accident site at 3:59 p.m. and found multiple people inside of the wrecked vehicles. The individuals were extricated from the wreckage by 4:00 p.m. Responders requested that an ambulance be sent to the scene of the accident one minute later. Details about the number of individuals injured during the incident were not available.

Hit-and-Run Accidents

After a hit-and-run accident, the missing driver may never be found. In these cases, injured parties may worry that they will not be able to hold the driver responsible for damages. While it’s true that it’s not always possible to find missing drivers, injured parties are frequently able to claim compensation by using a part of their insurance called “uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.” However, this coverage is optional and the amount available varies depending on your policy.

Rollover Collisions

Rollover accidents frequently cause severe injuries. One of the reasons that this happens is that vehicle roofs may not be able to withstand the force of a crash. Vehicles that are poorly designed or have roofs made out of weak materials can crumple during a rollover, leaving occupants seriously hurt.

The companies that build vehicles are expected to make sure that their products are safe. Because of this, auto manufacturers are often considered liable for damages caused during accidents if the collision involves roof crush injuries. To make sure that your attorney can determine whether or not roof crush injuries were involved, it’s important to preserve your wrecked vehicle.

Calling an Attorney

Recovering compensation is important for accident survivors and many people need these payments to cover their medical expenses and make up for lost income. However, liable parties typically take quick action to defend themselves from liability. Because of this, it’s critical to reach out to an attorney who can help make sure that liable parties pay you the compensation you deserve.
