Woodland This Weekend

I’m Ed Smith, a Woodland Personal Injury Lawyer. The spring weather is finally here and it is a great time to get out with family and friends this weekend.

Here are a few events happening in and near Woodland, CA this weekend.

Dia de los Ninos

Come celebrate our kids and diversity in our community at the Dia de los Ninos in Woodland tonight from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is a family event that is completely free and includes local performers, free books, a bouncy house, and other fun activities for the children. The restaurant Las Brasas will be on site and available for purchase.

Traditionally a holiday in Latin America, this is the 14th celebration of Dia de los Ninos here in Woodland and has been officially recognized by the Senate since the year 1998.

When: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 28th, 2017.

Where: Ferns Park, 250 West Southwood Dr, Woodland

Hands-on Truck Event

Ever dream of sitting in a fire truck or see how a garbage truck works? Stop dreaming and come to the 2nd annual Touch A Truck at the Public Library in Woodland. Bring your kids to explore a police cruiser, tractors, a Yolo transit bus, and others! There will be a quiet period where no horns are used from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

When: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 29th, 2017

Where: 250 First Street, Woodland

Wine and Wilderness Fundraiser

This is the second time this fundraiser has been held at the Cache Creek Conservancy. This is a great opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery around the conservancy and enjoy the sunny weather. The event will highlight the wineries from Yolo County. Hors d’oeuvres and classical music will be provided. For those that are interested, guests can also receive a tour of the preserve and see a model demonstration of the watershed on Cache Creek.

Tickets are available before the event for $45 per person but will be $55 at the door. The proceeds do go to a good cause. The event supports the Conservancy’s programming of restoration and education that focuses mainly on the lower Cache Creek area, educating more than three thousand school children about the environment, and managing the Nature Preserve.

When: 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 29th, 2017

Where: Nature Preserve at Cache Creek, 34199 County Road 20, Woodland.

Que Bossa Live

Enjoy live music from Que Bossa and good food at Blue Note Brewing Company from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m this Sunday Afternoon.

When: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30th, 2017
