A woman arrested for suspected DUI after crashing into bollards near fireworks crowd in Yuba City on Friday night, July 3, 2026, according to the Yuba City Police Department.

Crash Reported Near Feather River Parkway

Officers responded at approximately 9:37 p.m. to reports that a vehicle had crashed into a group of people near Feather River Parkway, north of downtown.

When officers arrived, they found the suspect, a 30-year-old Marysville woman, already being detained by witnesses. Police determined she was under the influence of alcohol and placed her under arrest.

Bollards Prevented a Potential Tragedy

The investigation revealed that the driver crashed into protective bollards near 10th Bridge Street, where approximately 200 people had gathered to watch a fireworks display.

According to police, the bollards stopped the vehicle before it could enter the crowd.

Only one person suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene.

Driver Faces Multiple Charges

The suspect was booked into the Sutter County Jail and faces charges including:
