On Saturday afternoon, October 11, 2025, a 16-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Walerga and Elverta Road. Emergency responders transported the teenager to a local hospital for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) traffic log reports that the pedestrian, who was riding an e-bicycle at the time, was struck by a black-colored Chevrolet truck. The log indicated that the bicycle ended up under the vehicle following the collision.

At this time, authorities have not determined the cause of the crash. Investigators continue to review the circumstances to identify any contributing factors.
