Vallejo is a lively city with a lot going on. While it’s on the very edge of the San Francisco Bay, it’s a bustling hub of activity on its own, and residents don’t need to travel far to find a fun event to attend. The following blog contains information about some of the exciting Vallejo community events taking place during the coming weeks.

Community Art Gallery

When: Saturday, February 22 @ 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Where: Cal Maritime Anchor Center

The local organization Vallejo Art Walk is curating a special gallery show opening in February. The gallery will include curated pieces that have been displayed at Vallejo’s monthly Art Walk event, all created by local artists. The gallery will be on display for free to the public on most Saturdays throughout February-June.

An Evening with a Prince and Princess

When: Saturday, February 22, 2020 @ 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Where: Courtyard by Marriott Vallejo

Focused on empowering local youth, this gala event will give young kids an opportunity to see their own excellence and greatness. The event will include a sash and gift bag for each participating child as well as a dinner and live music for dancing. To learn more about this event, visit this website.

Vallejo Farmers’ Market

When: Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Where: Downtown Georgia Street

The Vallejo Farmers’ Market brings together artisans and farmers from all over the area every week to provide area residents with a way to purchase fresh, affordable produce as well as locally produced works of art and more. Every week features multiple live music performances as well as hot food prepared by various restaurants and trucks. Right next to the water in one of the most beautiful parts of the city, this event is a great way to spend a Saturday morning with your community.

Myles Weber Comedy Show

When: Friday, February 21, 2020 @ 8:00 p.m.

Where: The Empress Theatre

Those looking for something hilarious to do on a Friday night can head to Vallejo’s historic Empress Theatre to see Myles Weber perform a comedy show. Weber is the first-place winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, has appeared on MTV and has been successful on YouTube, garnering more than 6 million views.
