Motorcycle Events in Northern California

While a few annual Northern California motorcycle events have been canceled for 2021 due to COVID-19, including the Quail Motorcycle Gathering in Carmel and the Redwood Run, there are many that are still scheduled to go forward. Below are several events to look forward to throughout May and June. Most are within about three hours of Sacramento. 

Hanford Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet

Friday, May 14 through Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Kings County Fairgrounds, 801 South 10th Avenue in Hanford, California.

The Great Hanford Cycle Swap is two days of buying, selling, and swapping motorcycle parts. The event includes one night of camping and the opportunity to show off your bike. This is the event’s 52nd year.

  • General Admission is $10. Children under 12 years old are free.
  • A single-vehicle space for the two days and one night of camping is $120 cash.
  • A truck/trailer space for the two days and one night of camping is $150 cash.
  • An RV space with full hook-ups for the two days and one night of camping is $160 cash.

There will be a bike show, and entrants must register by 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and stay until 3:00 p.m. to be eligible for prizes.  The bike show classes are:

  • Best Restored American
  • Best Restored Japanese
  • Best Restored European
  • Best Restored British
  • Best Unrestored American
  • Best Unrestored Japanese
  • Best Unrestored European
  • Best Unrestored British
  • Best Chopper
  • Best Classic Race Bike Off-Road
  • Best American Performance
  • Best Classic Race Bike Street/Strip
  • People’s Choice
  • Best in Show

The Unforgettable Ride 2021

Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 9:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. at Harley-Davidson of Rocklin, 4401 Granite Drive.

This motorcycle ride through the El Dorado and Placer County foothills supports Alzheimer’s Care. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., and kickstands are up at 10:00 a.m. The ride ends at Cool Beerwerks, 5020 Ellinghouse Dr, in Cool, California. Food will be available, and there will be raffle prizes and a silent auction. Riders will get a voucher for food, and a raffle ticket.  Register before April 30, 2021, and you will also receive an event tee shirt. 

This ride was founded as a charity event by Court and Jenn Edwards in honor of Jenn’s mother, Linda Rush.  In August 2019, Ms. Rush lost her battle with Alzheimer’s. Proceeds from the event and donations received throughout the year go toward the care of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients and funding to organizations that are searching for a cure.

Annual Patriotic Car & Bike Show

Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 4956 Powerline Road, Olivehurst, California. 

Come see the displays of cars and bikes. This event is hosted by the VFW 4095 in Olivehurst.

13th Annual Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet

May 30, 2021 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Chico Elks Lodge #423, 1705 Manzanita Avenue, Chico, California.

Bring the motorcycle parts you have been thinking of getting rid of. They may become someone else’s treasure. Enjoy the bike show, which is open to all.

The Great Outdoors Boat / Hot Rod / Motorcycle Show

Friday, June 11 through Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Pines Resort, 54432 Road 432 in Bass Lake, California. 

The daily event times are 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. There will be food and beverages, along with the boat, hot rod, motorcycle, and car exhibitors. For more information, contact Blaine White at (310) 625-1352.
