Foul Play Ruled Out in Pedestrian Fatality

The train station reopened immediately afterward. After reviewing security footage at the station, a BART spokesperson said foul play was not suspected. No additional information was released.

Name of Deceased Pedestrian to Be Released

Compensation for Pedestrian Fatalities in Train Collisions

A wrongful death claim typically seeks compensation for the decedent’s family, including lost wages, funeral costs, and pain and suffering, if the railroad company was negligent and caused the pedestrian’s train crash fatality accident. An injury lawyer who handles cases involving train accidents may help your family recover compensation in these cases.

Negligence in Train Accidents

There are also instances in which a railroad company may be held accountable for injuries caused by the negligence of an employee or the company. It is possible for railroad workers to be held accountable if they fail to properly maintain safety measures. In addition, the railroad company may be liable if it failed to warn of an impending danger that ultimately led to an accident.

Recovering Damages After a Family Member’s Death

If a pedestrian is injured or killed due to another’s negligent actions, it is best to seek legal counsel immediately, so you can understand your rights and seek compensation. Financial compensation cannot replace your loved one’s life when it was lost because of negligence and won’t help ease the grief you feel. However, by holding the responsible party accountable, it may help stop such incidents from occurring in the future.

When a train crash fatality accident is involved, protecting your interests and rights is important, and recovering compensation by filing a wrongful death claim can help relieve the financial strain. It also helps the family obtain justice for their loved one.
