Two students attending the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone were killed on May 20 in a single-vehicle crash near St. Helena. The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. along Highway 29/128, close to Mee Lane. A report had been received by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) of a vehicle that was speeding in the area.
On Friday, September 18, 2020, a St. Helena man was left with serious injuries as the result of an area car accident. According to official reports from Napa area California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident occurred on Highway 128 in the late evening and involved only one passenger vehicle. The cause of the accident is currently under an active CHP investigation.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that this accident involved a big-rig as well as a pickup truck. While medical officials stated that the 34-year-old St. Helena man suffered severe injuries, updates on his condition are currently unavailable. CHP is actively investigating possible causes of the crash.
A woman was killed in a St Helena pedestrian accident on the night of August 5, 2019. The incident occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. on Highway 29 at Mee Lane, just south of St Helena. A woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a sedan driven by a 28-year-old Winters woman, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said. Another vehicle traveling directly behind the first car also reportedly crashed into the woman. Crews from Napa County Fire Department were called to the scene to free the woman who was trapped under the vehicle. Sadly, she was declared deceased at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 25-year-old Samantha Lin of Raleigh, North Carolina. I would like to send my thoughts and prayers to the family of Ms. Lin during this difficult time.
