Accident on Twin Cities Road Off-Ramp Slows Traffic for Hours

A big rig crash on a Galt off-ramp involving a head-on collision caused minor injuries and tied up traffic on April 12. The collision occurred around 7:52 a.m. along the westbound Twin Cities Road off-ramp at southbound SR 99 south of Elk Grove. The report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the crash involved a head-on collision between a tractor-trailer and a Ford pickup. The pickup struck a pole and ended up in a ditch. 

Big Rig Carrying 20,000 Pounds of Cheese Crashes Near Galt

A big rig accident took place along northbound Interstate 5 on September 25 near Galt after the driver lost control. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that the accident happened between Twin Cities and Hood Franklin Roads shortly before 12:30 in the afternoon. The big rig, carrying around 20,000 pounds of cheese, flipped in the northbound lanes for unknown reasons. The accident is under investigation by the CHP to determine why it happened.

Big Rig Catches Fire

I’m Ed Smith, a Galt truck accident attorney. A big rig transporting Kirkland paper towels caught fire during the early morning hours of Monday, January 30, 2017 in Galt. The fire spread to the tractor of the big rig which contained paper towels. This led to a big rig fire along southbound Highway 99 in the vicinity of Twin Cities Road in Galt.
