Jeep Wrangler Recall

Another recall has been announced by Fiat Chrysler for 224,000 Jeep Wrangler SUVs. The Fiat Chrysler company issued a recall for the 2016 and 2017 Jeep Wrangler SUVs for a defect in the airbag deployment mechanisms. Government documents indicate that signals to the airbag computer in the Wranglers can be cut off due to the wiring of the sensors coming loose. The defect in the airbag deployment was found during a company protocol for crash safety testing. The study proved that during a collision, the rotation of the lead headlight would pull the wiring to the airbag computer loose. The company will be offering wiring reroute repairs at no cost. The company stated that no one has been injured due to the failure of the airbags deploying and no customers have filed complaints at this time.
