Sonoma County Man Transported to Hospital After Napa County Collision

One person was seriously injured during a Napa County collision that took place in a rural area of Napa County on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Reports issued by California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicated that the accident happened around midday and involved only one car. Additionally, only one individual was hurt during the crash.

Crash Details

The accident occurred at around 11:36 a.m. on Dry Creek Road to the west of Wall Road around five miles to the west of Yountville. A 67-year-old resident of Sebastopol was driving a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine eastbound on the roadway when his vehicle, for unknown reasons, veered to the right and drove off-road. After it traveled off the road, the sports car collided into a tree. Photos of the accident show extreme damage to the vehicle.

Response

Emergency responders, including staff from the County of Napa Fire Department, arrived at the scene shortly after the accident was reported. When response personnel arrived, they found that the driver had suffered major injuries and called for a REACH helicopter ambulance. The man was reportedly flown to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center in southern Napa.

Investigation

CHP is conducting an accident investigation in order to find out the causes of this crash. However, investigating officers have not mentioned any likely causes. In many cases, single-vehicle accidents are caused by things that motorists can’t control. These can include defective or poorly designed auto products, dangerous roads, and more.

Serious Accident Injuries

Sustaining a serious injury during a car crash is often life-changing. Survivors of car accidents frequently face serious medical issues, and recovering can be a long, painful process. Often, it takes months or years to recover your health, and many people suffer trauma that causes chronic symptoms like cognition issues or limited mobility. Dealing with any of these issues can be mentally stressful and may affect your ability to take part in activities you love or even move around your house with confidence.

Furthermore, being injured can be expensive. Medical bills related to accident trauma can be very high, especially if you need to undergo surgeries. Furthermore, injured people may suffer lost income as a result of the accident. In other cases, people need to make modifications to their home or hire somebody to help with tasks like cooking or cleaning.

Contacting a Lawyer

People who have been injured during collisions are often able to obtain compensation for the damages described above. This is possible by filing an injury claim and holding at-fault parties and/or insurance companies responsible. Even if you are unsure whether or not your case is right for an injury claim, it’s important to get advice from an attorney. Because most lawyers are happy to offer advice for free over the phone, you have nothing to lose by reaching out for professional help.
