One person was injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Sacramento on August 7. The accident occurred when the driver of an SUV lost control after a tire blew out on northbound I-5 just south of Del Paso Road around 5:19 p.m. According to the report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the vehicle overturned onto its roof, and a female was left trapped inside.

Authorities were notified of the accident by the Ford vehicle emergency response system in the car. A tow truck was required to recover the vehicle, which was around 50 feet off the roadway. The driver was transported by first responders to Mercy San Juan Medical Center with unnamed injuries.
