Single Turlock Vehicle Collision

I’m Ed Smith, a Turlock auto accident attorney. A Delhi teenager was driving during the late evening hours of Sunday, June 4, 2017, when he was involved in a single Turlock vehicle collision. Sadly, the teenager suffered traumatic injuries from the incident.

What Happened?

A 19-year-old man was behind the wheel of his 1998 Lincoln Navigator traveling northbound along Highway 99 at approximately 11:40 pm. The man allegedly conducted an unsafe turning movement to the right, which caused him to lose control of his vehicle. The man’s vehicle veered over the on-ramp for Lander Avenue and drove down an embankment. The vehicle overturned multiple times, drove through a fence and caught fire in a field near the freeway. Thankfully, a passing motorist witnessed the accident and stopped to assist the man in exiting out of the SUV.

Any Injuries?

Yes. Unfortunately, the man suffered burns to his hands, head, and feet. The man was taken to the Doctors Medical Center in Modesto then transferred to the UC Davis Medical Center to receive treatment for his injuries.

What Caused the Turlock Vehicle Collision?

A cause of the accident has not yet been released by investigators. It generally takes authorities up to two weeks to process a Traffic Collision Report.

Similar Car Accident

A similar car accident occurred near Elk Grove along the southbound lanes of Interstate on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. A vehicle crashed into a side barrier along the roadway at approximately 2:00 pm. The impact of this collision caused the car to overturn multiple times and catch fire. A few drivers made an attempt to assist the victim, but their efforts were cut short when the flames became out of control. Sadly, the motorist perished in the accident.
