Older Woman Injured in Two-Vehicle San Leandro Traffic Crash

A San Leandro traffic crash on southbound Interstate 880 just north of the Lewelling Boulevard off-ramp left a 70-year-old woman injured on September 5, authorities reported. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said the collision involved a Lexus and another sedan and occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m., which blocked the number two lane of the freeway. Alameda County Fire crews responded and treated the woman, who complained of pain after the crash.

CHP officers closed part of the roadway for emergency responders and began investigating the circumstances that led to the two-vehicle collision.
