Critical Injuries Reported in I-5 Semi Crash With Other Vehicle

A semi-collision with a motor vehicle in Sacramento on June 29 caused critical injuries to one person. The accident occurred northbound I-5 at the Sutterville Road on-ramp around 5:37 a.m. The big rig, a Freightliner hauling a 53-foot trailer, was found by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) on the right-hand side.

One Vehicle Towed as Evidence in Semi-Crash

A SigAlert warned other motorists that the lanes were blocked due to a crash. One of the vehicles was towed from the scene as evidence. The injured person was taken to a local hospital. No update has been released on their condition. CHP traffic accident investigators are determining what happened to cause the accident.

Consequences of a Semi-Crash Collision With a Smaller Vehicle

Trauma that can occur in an accident involving a big rig truck can be especially severe, given the large size and heavy weight of a commercial truck. Common injuries sustained in such an accident may include broken bones, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI). In addition to physical trauma, those injured may suffer emotional trauma due to the severity of the incident or from witnessing another person’s injury or death.

Enlisting the Help of an Injury Lawyer

When someone is involved in a collision involving a big commercial vehicle, they should seek medical attention promptly to assess the extent of their injuries and seek treatment. A truck accident can be a devastating experience, leaving those injured with severe physical trauma and long-term financial damages. If you or someone you know has been involved in a truck crash, it is essential to seek legal help as soon as possible. An experienced injury lawyer can help get you the compensation you deserve for your medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other losses related to the accident.

Collecting Evidence to Support Your Personal Injury Claim

Your injury lawyer will evaluate the factors surrounding your truck crash and conduct an investigation to determine liability. They will review accident reports from police officers at the crash scene, checking for video footage from traffic cameras and other forensic techniques to compile a strong case. In addition, the lawyer can negotiate with insurance companies on your behalf and litigate if necessary.

An injury lawyer will serve as your advocate throughout the process and provide emotional support while recovering your compensation. Taking on all of the legal aspects of your case will free up time for you to focus on recovering physically and emotionally from your crash.
