Authorities Seeking Driver Involved in Roseville Injury Hit-and-Run

Vehicles involved in the collision included a Mercedes, a Hyundai Palisade, an Infiniti, and an unnamed sedan. Another SUV involved in the crash was found about 300 feet in front of the accident. No information was provided on the extent of injuries or about the fleeing vehicle. An investigation into the cause of the collision is underway by CHP traffic collision detectives.

Hit-and-Run Investigation by an Accident Lawyer

A lawyer can search local police department crash reports to find a match between a car description and one found nearby. The investigation might also include a search for recent insurance claims to determine if there were any damage claims related to an incident similar to the hit-and-run collision being investigated.

Cell phone geolocation data may be used by lawyers to locate a fleeing driver at the time of a Roseville injury hit-and-run. A court order for records from cell phone companies can be used to gather this type of evidence. Witnesses can be valuable sources of information. Witnesses may identify the driver if they saw the accident or the vehicle’s license plate. There is also a possibility that CCTV footage captured by nearby businesses or traffic surveillance cameras may provide clues about the accident or its aftermath.

Responsibility of the At-Fault Driver

Identifying the driver who fled the scene of the Roseville injury hit-and-run may allow an attorney with an injured client to hold the at-fault person responsible for their actions. This allows those who have been injured in a hit-and-run to take legal action against negligent parties with the guidance and support of an experienced personal injury attorney. Their compensation can recover all of the medical bills that arise because of the collision, lost wages and physical and emotional pain and suffering, among others.

Injuries and Auto Insurance

Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage may kick in if the at-fault driver isn’t identified or located. An injury lawyer can provide guidance on how to proceed in these situations and help an injured person receive compensation. In the event that the injured person does not own an auto policy themselves, they can utilize the add-on of a family member’s policy. No changes are made to rates.
