Roseville Citizen’s Police Academy

February 26, 2016 is the last day to register for Roseville Police Department’s 2016 Citizen’s Police Academy.  For the very first time — a daytime academy will be offered. Classes will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Mondays – Thursdays. Classes begin March 7th and run through March 17th. There will be a total of 8 sessions. Location: Roseville Police Department.

What Will I Learn?

Roseville Citizen’s Police Academy offers members of the community an up close and personal look into local law enforcement. Attendees will be interested to learn the concept of community oriented policing. Additionally, learn how to partner with the police department through joint problem solving and how to keep our community safe.  Attendees will be introduced to Chief Daniel Hahn, the police command and K-9 staff, records, investigations and other operational teams of Roseville Police Department.  Learn about the most common crimes going on in the community. Participate in discussions regarding search and seizure, drugs, gang activity, and other pertinent information about the local crime scene and law enforcement procedures that deal with these issues.

The goal is to instill a greater respect, understanding and awareness of law enforcement’s role in our local community.  Also on the agenda is an overview of the wide range of volunteer opportunities available through the Roseville Police Department.  To become a police volunteer the first step is to attend and complete Roseville Citizen’s Police Academy.

What are Requirements to Attend?

You must be 18 years of age or older and be able to attend each and every session for 8 weeks. Another requirement is that you live or work in Roseville.
