Minor Injuries Reported After Rollover Crash on SR-28 Near Lake Forest Road

A two-vehicle rollover crash on SR-28 near Lake Forest Road left at least one person injured on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the intersection north of Tahoe City, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch reports.

The collision was reported at approximately 11:28 a.m. Initial information indicated that two vehicles were involved and that one had overturned. Later updates confirmed that the vehicle came to rest on its roof.

The second vehicle sustained major front-end damage, while the collision partially blocked the roadway. Emergency units responded to assist those involved and work to clear the damaged vehicles from the area.
