Richmond Hit-and-Run Occurs Near Hilltop Drive Off-Ramp

A Richmond hit-and-run crash on westbound Interstate 80 snarled morning traffic on October 15 after multiple vehicles collided near the Hilltop Drive off-ramp. The incident was reported at about 9:26 a.m., prompting a response from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). According to initial reports, a Toyota Prius, a Toyota Corolla, and a third unknown vehicle were involved. 

Authorities Seek Fleeing Driver in Richmond Hit-and-Run

The unknown driver reportedly fled the scene following the collision. The Prius sustained major front-end damage and was towed from the scene, while a sedan was left blocking the number one lane. CHP officers are investigating the cause of the crash and working to identify and locate the fleeing vehicle’s driver. Information on possible injuries has not yet been released.
