Recall Due to Potential Seat Belt Failure
A consumer alert was issued on August 26, 2021, for all owners of the 2021 Ford F-150 with the Super Cab body style. The recall is for potentially incorrect routing of the front seat belt webbing. When a seat belt is misrouted, it may not restrain an occupant adequately and could increase the risk of injury.
The recall affects more than 16,000 vehicles that were manufactured between January and May 2021. Owners of the same model year Ford F-150 but with regular or crew cab body styles are not affected by the recall as they use a different seat belt assembly system.
What to Do if You Own an Affected Ford F-150
Owners of the affected Ford F-150’s are urged to call Ford at 866-436-7332 or get in touch with a local Ford dealer in order to obtain specific information about the recall from Ford’s OASIS (Online Automotive Service Information System) database.
Owners will also be notified by mail. They will receive instructions on how to perform a self-assessment of their truck’s seat belts. If upon inspection, the passenger seat belt fails, the owners should not allow anyone to ride in the passenger seat until the truck is taken in for repair. If upon self-inspection the driver-side seat belt fails, there is a do not drive warning. Those vehicles should not be driven until the crucial repair is completed.

Once there, you will be asked to enter the 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) to determine whether there is an active recall of your vehicle.
