Rancho Cordova Fatal Crash
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, on the morning of Saturday, August 15, 2015 Johnathon Long, age 26, was driving eastbound on White Rock Road in Rancho Cordova. He was near Luyung Drive. Long had one passenger in his vehicle with him, a man in his early 20s.
The preliminary investigation suggested that the driver lost control of his vehicle somehow. He ended up leaving his eastbound direction of travel, going all the way across the roadway and into the westbound lanes.
As Long’s vehicle went off the roadway it smashed into a power pole. Long was pinned inside the vehicle. His passenger sustained only minor injuries. He was treated at the scene of the accident.
Meanwhile, emergency responders had to remove Long from the vehicle. They transported him to the hospital where he died of the injuries he sustained in the crash.
