Rancho Cordova Bicyclist and Light Rail Train Collide

Officials at the Sacramento Regional Transit (SRT) office are investigating how a bicyclist versus light rail train crash occurred.  The two collided along the Folsom Boulevard route at the Zinfandel Station.  Amazingly, the woman’s bicycle rider was taken to the hospital without suffering life-threatening injuries as a result of this collision.

According to Alane Masui of SRT, the red lights were flashing, and the guard arm was down when the bicyclist rode her bike directly into the train’s path.

Earlier this year, a bicyclist was hit and killed by a light rail train along the Folsom Boulevard route at College Greens.  Click here to read more: KCRA 3 Bicyclist Killed By Light Rail Train.
