Pittsburg Fatal Hit-and-Run
I’m Ed Smith, a Pittsburg auto accident attorney. A warrant was issued for a driver that intentionally fled from the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident that took place on the evening of Saturday, October 22, 2016.
What Happened?
A motorist was driving in his vehicle along with his passenger in the vicinity of Leland Road and Piedmont Way. The driver crashed into a motorcyclist at the intersection and attempted to flee from the scene. Sadly, the motorcyclist did not survive in the accident due to the severe extent of his injuries.
Drunk Driving & Felony Hit-and-Run Arrest
The driver was identified by police as 25-year-old Angelo Childs from Concord. According to Captain Ron Raman from the Pittsburg Police Department, authorities were able to arrest Childs on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence. Officials indicated speeding may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
