A passenger killed in Red Bluff off-road vehicle crash. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, a man tragically lost his life following a crash involving a Polaris RZR side-by-side off-road vehicle in Red Bluff over the weekend.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s (CHP), the incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Basler Road, north of State Route 36. CHP Red Bluff reported that the driver and one passenger sustained minor injuries. A second passenger suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, though the incident remains under investigation.
