Community Events in Paradise

Residents of Paradise enjoy living in a beautiful natural setting located at the foot of the Sierras. Gorgeous hikes and access to cool, clear rivers to swim in are abundant for those in the area. In addition to the lovely setting, those living in and around Paradise enjoy a vibrant community that hosts a large variety of fun events. Those interested in upcoming events in Paradise can find information below.

Party in the Park

The local chamber along with the Town of Paradise, hosts a celebration of community and commerce every week during the summer. The celebration is located in the historic center of Paradise at Paradise Community Park at the intersection of Black Olive and Pearson Streets.

Attendees of Party in the Park are able to contribute to a strong local economy by purchasing produce and goods from local farmers and craftspeople. The event also includes non-profit groups, music from live bands, acts from local groups such as dance, theater, youth karate, and more.

Party in the Park starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs all throughout June and August.

Open Mikeful

Every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Norton Buffalo Hall, the Paradise community hosts an open mike. The event is an opportunity for Paradise residents to share their musical talents with an attentive and supportive audience.

Sign-ups start at 6:45 for a 10-minute or two-song slot. The first three people to sign up will perform first and the rest will perform in random order. Snacks and beverages are available to be purchased at the event.

History and Mystery

Paradise’s Masonic Lodge 124 is hosting a tour of their facility on June 24, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The tour will include an in-depth look at the Table Mountain Masonic Lodge and presentations about the history of the lodge and its involvement with the community. The event is free to attend and open to the public.  Free refreshments will be served to those who attend. The event is located at 5934 Clark Road in Paradise.

Gold Panning Lessons

On July 8, 2017, prospectors from the Paradise Ridge Diggers are going to be offering free gold panning lessons at Paradise’s Gold Nugget Museum. Those who attend the event will be able to learn from experts on how to find gold in California’s mountains. Attendees will be given live demonstrations of the best ways to go prospecting for their own gold nuggets. The event takes place at 502 Pearson Road in Paradise and begins at 4 p.m.
