New Rancho Cordova Creek and Trail
The County of Sacramento is partnering with other agencies including Rancho Cordova to renovate a creek. They will also be creating a new walking trail located near the neighborhood of Cordova Meadows. This project is a part of Cordova Creek Naturalization.
Have You Noticed River Construction?
You may notice the concrete-lined canal bordering Soil Born Farms at the American River Parkway.
This project aims to remove the concrete and replace the same with a natural meandering creek. The creek will include many native trees, beautiful shrubs, and a wide variety of ground-covers.
This will add beauty and enhance our environment. It will create a pleasing and safe habitat for our wildlife. Additionally, it will improve upon the appearance of the creek.
Love To Walk?
A new walking trail is under construction. It will provide public access from Dedo Way, off La Loma Drive in the neighborhood of Cordova Meadows – to the American River Parkway.
I love to walk with my walking partner (and dear friend) along pathways that are safe and provide us with natural scenic beauty.
It just makes our walking (and sometimes jogging) experience all the more doable when the trail is lovely and maintained properly.
We are so excited about this trail. We can’t wait to go explore the American River Parkway and Cordova Meadows.
When Will Construction Be Complete?
December of 2016!
Construction of Phase One has already begun. There will be two phases.
