Further Details of the Major Injury Accident

The police report states that an Audi Q8 sedan, Kia Sorento SUV and two other vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles was found in the center divider. The Kia went off the road, through a fence, and into a ditch on the right-hand side. It ended up about 100 feet off the shoulder of the road and required a tow truck with a long cable to haul back up. Multiple motorists pulled over to the side of the road to assist following the major injury crash. A SigAlert was issued due to the congested traffic, which was backed up as far as the Cosumnes River.

Financial Stress Caused by a Major Injury

Experiencing a major injury in an accident is horrifying. It not only results in suffering for the injured person but affects the entire family. A severe injury causes mounting medical bills and lost time at work that affects the family financially. Worries arise on how those bills will be paid. In some cases, the injured person may end up not being able to do their job once they recover or discover their injury is permanent, and they cannot work even when they have recovered.

Permanent Injuries

The family can face home health care costs and the need for special equipment such as a wheelchair and health care attendants to see to the patient’s needs. Unfortunately, when a loved one cannot go back to work, the family can face diminished income and financial ruin. Our firm empathizes with the injured person and their family and understands the need for compensation to pay these bills. We do not believe that anyone who is injured by a negligent driver should have to bear the brunt of their financial loss. That is why we do our best to obtain the compensation they deserve.

Help by a Personal Injury Lawyer

When multiple vehicles are involved in an accident involving injuries, drivers often seek the services of a personal injury lawyer. This is to protect their rights and to have conclusive proof of how the accident happened and who was to blame. In our firm, investigators are sent to the accident site right away to begin collecting evidence. They begin by talking to witnesses and looking over the police report for errors. Following this, they look for traffic cameras and video surveillance at nearby businesses to determine if the accident was caught digitally. Accident reconstruction can determine the placement of the vehicles before the collision, what happened, and how they came to their final resting position. By building a solid case for an injured client, it provides our lawyers with evidence to deal either with the insurance company or in civil court.
