Motorcyclist Killed in High-Speed Crash on I-5 in North Redding

A tragic collision  claimed the life of a motorcyclist killed in high-speed crash on I-5 in North Redding on Saturday evening, July 26, 2025. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the fatal crash occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. on northbound Interstate 5, just south of the Oasis Road exit.

According to CHP investigators, a 35-year-old Redding man was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed, estimated around 90 mph, when he failed to slow down in time and crashed into the rear of a Toyota sedan. The impact of the collision ejected the motorcyclist from his bike, causing fatal injuries. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the Toyota, a 54-year-old woman, was not injured in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident to determine all contributing factors.
