Missing Roseville Boater Lost in Tomales Bay
A Roseville man went missing on Monday, October 26, 2015 in Tomales Bay when the boat in which he was fishing capsized. This area of Tomales Bay is sometimes prone to unexpected surges of rough and choppy waters.
Occupants of the Boat
There were two others in the fishing boat along with the missing Roseville boater. One occupant of the boat perished in the rough waters. Another man was able to swim to safety.
Family Members of Missing Roseville Boater Clinging to Hope
Because the boater’s body has not turned up, family members are clinging to hope that he may still be alive.
Search Suspended Too Soon
The U.S. Coast Guard told Fox40 that the search for the missing Roseville boater was performed by the National Park Service. That search ended at around 3pm on Tuesday leaving family members distraught by no continuing search efforts.
Missing Boater a Dentist and Father of Five
We have learned that the missing Roseville boater is a dentist who has worked at Folsom State Prison for two decades. He is a father of five children. Family members know him to be a very strong swimmer who had taken his life jacket with him on this fishing trip.
