Milagro Centre in Downtown Carmichael
Touted as the culinary hub of Carmichael, Milagro (which means “miracle” in Spanish) Centre in Downtown Carmichael has many delicious restaurants and a full-service event center. Local residents may not even know that Carmichael has a “downtown” – Milagro Centre is at 6241 Fair Oaks Boulevard, near the intersection Fair Oaks and Marconi.

Restaurants
Insight Coffee Roasters.
Insight Coffee was founded in Sacramento in 2011 and also has a popular location in the Southside Neighborhood. They have a goal to make coffee taste delicious all on their own, through quality farming and expert roasting. Insight is open Monday through Friday: 7am – 5pm and Saturday/Sunday: 7:30am – 5pm.
Mesa Mercado
Mesa Mercado is described as a unique experience created by Ernesto Delgado, who is also the owner/operator of the outstanding Mayahuel restaurant in downtown Sacramento. Mesa Mercado combines a restaurant, taco bar, cocktail bar, and store (“mercado”), all inspired by open-air markets found in Oaxaca and Mexico City.
Mesa Mercado’s hours are Monday through Thursday: 11:30am – 9pm; Friday: 11:30am – 10pm; Saturday: 10am – 10pm; Sunday: 10am – 8pm.
They offer a Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3–6 pm.
Chilangolandia
Also, the brainchild of Ernesto Delgado, Chilangolandia, is a food stand or “puesto” featuring Mexico City-style street food created by Mesa Mercado. These two eateries combine to share a little bit of Mexico City right in the heart of Carmichael, California.
Chilangolandia’s hours are Tuesday through Friday: 4:30–8:30 pm and Saturday: 2:00–8:30 pm.
Serritella’s Italian Restorante & Pizzeria
Serritella’s has been a Carmichael staple since 1965. For years they occupied an older building on the other side of Fair Oaks & Marconi but moved into Milagro Centre in 2019. They serve delicious Italian food made from scratch and are famous for their fresh-baked breadsticks served with garlic butter and peanut butter. Serritella’s is open Sunday/Monday/Tuesday: 5 – 9pm; Wednesday through Thursday: 11am – 2pm & 5 – 9pm; Friday: 11am – 9:30pm; and Saturday: 4:30 – 9:30pm.
Taiko Sushi
Taiko offers affordable and high-quality sushi – the fish is always fresh, never frozen. They serve a large variety of specialty sushi rolls and host a Happy Hour every Tuesday through Friday from 3 pm – 6 pm, which includes draft beers and sake for $2.00 and $2.00 off specialty rolls. Taiko also serves bento boxes and entrees other than sushi. They offer catering as well.
River City Brewing Company
River City Brewing opened in 1993 in the K Street Mall in downtown Sacramento. It is the second-longest brewery still in operation in the Sacramento area. The business moved to Milagro Centre in 2015, becoming an anchor business to the region.
In terms of the food menu, River City uses ingredients from local farms whenever possible, and they change their menu three times a year to accommodate the seasonal produce. Their hours are: Monday through Thursday: 11:30am – 9 pm; Friday & Saturday: 11:30am – 10pm; and Sunday: 11:30am – 8pm. River City Brewing holds a Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3–6 pm.
Event Center
At the Milagro event center, they are committed to creating a special event that no guest will forget. Each event is tailor-made since no two clients are alike. Some of the offerings include a customized menu, indoor/outdoor spaces, and an LED lighting package. The modern design of the center transports guests out of Carmichael into a bustling international city center.
