Head-On Crash Fatally Injures Two Near Manteca

I’m Ed Smith, a Manteca personal injury lawyer. Two parties were driving together north of Manteca on the afternoon of Saturday, December 9, 2017. Unfortunately, this would be the last ride the two would take together due to an unforeseen head-on crash.

We would like to extend our condolences to the loved ones of the two individuals that passed away in this devastating car accident.

What Happened?

Two parties were driving together in a 2011 Hyundai traveling northbound along Union Road in the vicinity of Del Webb Road at approximately 2:52 pm. The driver of the Hyundai allegedly allowed their vehicle to veer off the east edge of the roadway, over-corrected, and entered the direct path of of an oncoming 2004 Toyota Corolla. The motorist of the Toyota, who was traveling southbound at the time, did not have time to react and collided head-on with the Hyundai. The impact of the collision allegedly caused the Hyundai to sheer in half and caused both of the occupants inside to be ejected from the vehicle.

Nature of Injuries

Emergency responders were called to the area of the car accident. Upon arrival, emergency personnel located the two parties of the Hyundai and the driver of the Toyota. The motorist of the Toyota, identified as a 58-year-old Stockton woman, suffered major injuries. The Stockton woman was transported by ambulance to an area trauma center for injury treatment. The two parties of the Hyundai, unfortunately, suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

What Caused the Accident?

A cause of the accident has not yet been determined by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Usually, Traffic Collision Reports take up to two weeks to be processed. It is important to keep in mind that not all traffic reports are accurate pertaining to fault. If you have lost a loved one in a Manteca car accident, you do not have to endure this hardship by yourself. Hiring an experienced car accident lawyer in Manteca is crucial in properly determining fault in a fatal accident. An attorney with years of experience will explore further into the details of the accident to properly determine liability and bring closure to those who have been affected by this heart-wrenching tragedy.

The Grieving Process: The Loss of a Loved One

The sudden and unexpected death of a loved one is a nightmare that no one ever wants to endure. The grieving process following such tragedies varies from person-to-person as each person is unique in nature. All feelings are valid during this period as individuals tend to experience a rollercoaster of emotions that come and go. Having a support system of friends and family in place can make things somewhat easier. Maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise and proper rest are more steps to self-healing. It is important to recognize that the effects of grief never truly vanish from an individual’s life as a person learns how to manage his or her emotions over time. If you have lost someone close to you, always remember how much the person loved you and how they would never want you to suffer.
