Major Injuries Suffered in Trinity Crash
On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, a car accident that took place in Trinity County outside of Redding left one person with major injuries. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident involved a single vehicle, and no other individuals were harmed during the incident. The latest reports indicated that the injured man was in the custody of a local hospital and still in serious condition. Additionally, this collision currently remains under investigation.
Collision Information
Police stated that this crash happened on Trinity Mountain Lake Road to the South of French Gulf. A Dodge Durango had been heading eastbound when, for unknown reasons, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle drifted right and eventually exited the road before striking a nearby oak tree. The crash caused major damage to the vehicle’s passenger side.
When emergency responders reached the collision scene, they found that the driver of the Durango was severely injured. The man was placed on a helicopter and airlifted to the Mercy Medical Center in Redding for immediate medical care. No other passengers were inside of the vehicle.
