Injuries Suffered in Red Bluff Area Accident

On Monday, June 1, 2020, an early morning Red Bluff Area accident left at least one person with injuries. Reports from California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that this crash involved one vehicle and happened on a rural road north of Red Bluff. Details about how many people were injured during the accident have not been reported, but emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the scene.

Collision Information

The collision occurred just after midnight on Bowman Road close to the intersection located at Hooker Creek on the northern side of the area railroad tracks. A vehicle of unreported make and model was driving on Bowman when it veered off-road. The vehicle then traveled 20 feet down an embankment and landed in a pond, becoming partially submerged.

Response

CHP, as well as personnel from CalFire, were sent to the accident scene to assist with emergency response. Police reportedly reached the collision site shortly after the crash took place and immediately requested an ambulance be sent to the scene. CHP also called a tow truck to the location to remove the vehicle from the pond.

Investigation

Police have not yet reported what factors are suspected to have caused this crash and an official investigation is still ongoing. However, solo-vehicle accidents are very common, especially at night. These kinds of crashes are frequently caused by a number of common factors, many of which can’t be controlled by involved drivers.

Non-driver factors in vehicle collisions can include roadway issues such as poor lighting or defective pavement as well as malfunctioning car parts like weak tires, faulty brake systems, and more.

Accident Injuries and Obtaining Compensation

Suffering an injury during a car accident can have a huge impact on your life and the lives of your family members. Injury recovery can take months or even years and is often both painful as well as mentally stressful. Furthermore, recovering can be costly. Many crash survivors build up medical debt because they need to pay for surgeries, medicine, therapy, and other important services. Paying for medical care can be even harder if your injury has made it difficult for you to do your job, which can result in a sudden, major loss of income.

These concerns can leave accident survivors worried about the future. However, many accident survivors are able to claim the payments they need to move on with their lives through personal injury claims. A personal injury claim seeks to hold at-fault parties liable for damages and can cover lost income, medical bills, damaged property, and more. However, it is important to know that injury claims are complicated and liable parties often put up a fight. For these reasons, it’s critical to seek help from a trusted Red Bluff personal injury lawyer who can give you the advice you need to move forward.
