Officials in the Turlock area reported a fatality following a recent hit-and-run pedestrian accident. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. along the 1200 block of Geer Road, according to officials.

The Turlock Police Department noted that reports came in about an injured pedestrian down in the road. When Turlock PD officers arrived, life-saving measures were performed on the injured party. Sadly, the pedestrian, 36-year-old William Hanson of Turlock, was declared deceased at the scene.
Officials are searching for the vehicle involved in the fatal pedestrian accident. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a 2000s GMC Yukon or Chevrolet Tahoe SUV that is white in color.
