Hit-and-Run Driver in Walnut Grove Crash Seen on River Road
A hit-and-run driver involved in a Walnut Grove crash that injured one person is being sought by authorities. The collision occurred on October 5 around 2:46 p.m. along Walnut Grove Road between Georgiana Slough Bridge and Shop Street. The person who called the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to report the accident was on River Road.
Police Searching for Driver in Walnut Grove Crash
The reporting person told authorities that the suspect red pickup in the Walnut Grove crash was seen heading northbound on River Road. Although authorities stopped a vehicle matching the description outside of town, it proved to be a negative match to the one involved in the accident. An investigation is being conducted by CHP traffic collision detectives to locate the driver. No details were provided about the extent of injuries the involved person suffered.
