Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident
A woman was taking a walk in Tracy during the evening hours of Friday, December 8, 2017. Sadly, she was struck by an unidentified vehicle, which allegedly left the scene following the collision. The woman suffered major injuries as a result of this auto accident.

What Happened?
A 32-year-old woman was walking along East Street near Grant Line Road at approximately 5:40 pm. For reasons that are not yet known, the woman was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of that vehicle allegedly failed to remain at the scene until the arrival of emergency personnel. Witnesses contacted authorities to get immediate help for the injured woman.
Nature of Injuries
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, medics conducted an evaluation of the injured woman, who was found unconscious and bleeding. The woman appeared to have suffered a head injury and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. An update on her condition has not yet been released.
Police Investigation
The Tracy Police Department is in charge of the hit-and-run accident investigation. The suspect vehicle, nor its driver, has not been identified. Officers urge anyone who may have information regarding the accident to contact Crime Stoppers at (209) 831-4847 to shed light on the suspect party.
