One person was hurt in a Highway 12 crash that took place in Napa on Saturday, December 28, 2019. California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that the accident happened in the very early morning and involved two vehicles, including a black Jeep and red Mini Cooper.

According to police, the collision took place at about 1:20 a.m. at the Kelly Road intersection on the southern end of Napa City. Highway 12 Crash Investigation

CHP has reported that they have officers actively investigating what may have caused this traumatic accident. As officers investigate, suspected factors have not been reported. Collisions are commonly caused by a variety of factors. Furthermore, many of these factors are not under drivers’ control. Examples of these factors include defective car parts such as brakes, tires, and steering systems, as well as hazardous roadway issues such as potholes, missing signage, dangerous design, and more.

Collision Injuries

Car accidents can involve a massive amount of force and are likely to leave people with major injuries. When vehicle safety features fail to offer adequate protection, the injuries can be even worse. Some of the more common collision injuries include:

Many of these injuries have the ability to dramatically change your life. In many cases, crash survivors face a long and difficult path to recovery that involves multiple medical procedures, extended therapy, medication use, and more. Not only is dealing with these challenges stressful, but it can be extremely expensive as well. On top of paying for high medical costs for ambulances, surgeries, hospital stays, and more, being injured can also leave you unable to continue working your job. Losing this income often leaves crash survivors unsure of how they will be able to make ends meet.

Claiming Compensation

After an accident, people who’ve been injured are able to file personal injury claims against negligent parties in order to obtain payments for their financial and personal losses. Negligent parties can include reckless drivers as well as auto product manufacturers, government bodies, and others. By filing an injury claim, collision survivors are often able to obtain the financial security they deserve during a very difficult time.

Do I Have a Viable Case?

Many people aren’t sure whether or not they will be able to claim compensation for their injuries. There are many different factors that affect your ability to obtain payments, and injury claims can be complicated. For this reason, you should always check with a lawyer to see if you have a viable case. Because Napa personal injury lawyers are typically happy to offer a free phone consultation, there’s no downside to reaching out for the advice you need.
