High-Speed Chase Ends in Elk Grove
A Sacramento murder suspect was arrested in the city of Elk Grove on Thursday, November 5, 2015 after a high-speed chase.
Police Pursuit Began in North Sacramento
The chase was on at about 9:20 p.m. as officers tried to stop a motorist. The driver took off with officers in tow all the way to Sage Court in Elk Grove. Four occupants in the vehicle being pursued fled the scene on foot.
Combined Efforts to Track Down Suspects
It took the combined efforts of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, Elk Grove Police, air and k-9 units and Sacramento Police Department to arrest the suspects. They all were successfully apprehended without incident, according to a press release from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
Why were the suspects running?
In the vehicle, among the four suspects, was a 21-year-old Sacramento man wanted in connection with an alleged murder that took place in the parking lot of a Sacramento lounge between the 21-year-old, a Carmichael man and the 37-year old murder victim. The murder victim allegedly was shot to death.
