Fun Things to Do in Escalon

Family-Friendly Events in Escalon

Summer is coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean you should slow down. You can still go out and do many cool things, especially if you want to do some fun family stuff in or near Escalon, California. We’ll give you some ideas and tips on how to fully experience the local vibe.

Experience Arts and History

If you’re an art or history buff, you can experience them at Haggin Museum. The 90-year-old brick building museum sits in the center of the lush Victory Park and what’s on display inside makes it worth your time. The beautifully remodeled art galleries showcase enchanting works of art from the 19th and 20th centuries to the modern age while offering a glimpse into the past of San Joaquin County.

The museum recently celebrated its 90th anniversary of art and history this year. For the celebration, the museum focused on moving forward into the future by capturing Tod Ruhstaller’s sunset. Ruhstaller, CEO and Curator of History at the Haggin Museum, had dedicated 37 years of service to the museum before announcing his retirement this year.
