Four People Hurt in Williams Collision

Four people suffered injuries during a Williams collision that took place on Sunday, March 29, 2020. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that this crash occurred in the late afternoon on a local highway and involved only one vehicle. According to medical officials, all four occupants of the vehicle suffered major injuries during the accident and were hospitalized for emergency treatment. Updates on their conditions have not been reported and CHP is still investigating the accident.

Crash Details

According to police reports, the accident happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Highway Interstate 5 just south of Lurline Avenue in Williams. An unidentified vehicle was reportedly traveling north on the highway at a high rate of speed when, for reasons currently unknown, the car drifted over the solid yellow line next to the highway median. After this, the vehicle made a sharp right-hand turn, overcorrecting and, as a result, overturning. The vehicle rolled multiple times during which two passengers were ejected through windows.

Response

After they received a report regarding the crash, CHP dispatched emergency officials to the accident site. When responders reached the collision location, they found that the vehicle’s driver, as well as all three passengers, were seriously injured. According to police, two of the injured parties were transported to the Enloe Medical Center via helicopter ambulance.

Investigation

As CHP investigators continue to investigate this crash, no suspected factors have been reported. Single-vehicle collisions can be caused by a variety of common factors and many crashes have more than one cause. Furthermore, many of these crash factors can’t be controlled by drivers. Such factors include defective car parts, roadway issues, and more.

Rollover Accidents

Rollover accidents can be especially dangerous when vehicle roofs are unable to withstand an impact, leaving occupants with roof crush injuries. In these cases, the manufacturer of the vehicle may be considered an at-fault party and held responsible for damages.

Recovering from a Serious Injury

Suffering a serious auto accident injury can be life-changing. While many people are able to recover from their injuries, crash survivors are liable to be left with chronic or even permanent health issues. These issues can make it difficult for crash survivors to participate in activities that they care about or even perform their jobs, resulting in a sudden and serious loss of wages or salary. This loss of income can make it even more difficult to pay for the medical expenses that are necessary to regain your health, leaving many crash survivors worried about how they will be able to move forward with their lives.

Getting Help

People who’ve been injured in accidents can find themselves in a very difficult situation. However, it’s often possible to get help by working with a car accident lawyer to file a personal injury claim. Through an injury claim, collision survivors are often able to obtain full compensation for the damages they have suffered.
