Folsom Crash Involving Multiple Cars

I’m Ed Smith, a Folsom personal injury attorney. A six-car traffic accident happened at Folsom Boulevard and Blue Ravine Road on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.

What Happened?

Police indicated around 6:30 a.m. cars were slowing down to make a right hand turn onto Blue Ravine Road from Folsom Boulevard. That’s when a silver car travelling behind them all began crashing into guardrails and other cars, pushing one car onto the light rail tracks.

What Caused the Accident?

According to officers the driver of the silver car may have had a medical emergency of some kind.

What Type of Injuries?

Injuries were described as minor to moderate. Four people sustained injuries and had to be transported to the hospital.

Crash Necessitates Road Closures

Blue Ravine Road and Folsom Boulevard had to be shut down for about an hour while rescue crews assisted crash victims and cleared the roadway.

Crash Caused Light Rail Train Delays

Light rail trains running along the Gold Line were disrupted causing a delay for riders of approximately one hour.
