Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Rosemont Area of Sacramento County

At least one person was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Rosemont area of Sacramento County on Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Crash Reported at South Watt Avenue and Jackson Road

CHP officers were dispatched around 6:02 a.m. to the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Jackson Road following reports of a serious collision involving two vehicles.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed that at least one person suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin.

Road Closures Following the Collision

Due to the severity of the crash and the ongoing investigation, Jackson Road was closed in both directions as of approximately 6:35 a.m. while officers documented the scene and cleared debris from the roadway.

Investigation Remains Ongoing

Officials said the cause of the collision remains unclear at this time. CHP investigators continue working to determine the events leading up to the fatal crash.
