Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Morris Avenue

The Modesto Police Department reported that one party suffered fatal injuries in a car versus motorcycle crash on Morris Avenue on May 30, 2023. The collision occurred at the intersection of Morris Avenue and Coffee Road in the vicinity of Scenic Drive at approximately 3:45 p.m., according to officials.

In a preliminary release by investigators, it was revealed that a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling northbound on Coffee Road. At the same time, a motorcycle rider was headed southbound on Coffee Road. The Chevrolet driver allegedly attempted to turn onto Morris Avenue and collided with the biker.

The motorcycle rider was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to injuries. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office recently identified the motorcyclist as James Harris, 31, of Oakdale. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Harris family.

Additional information on the fatal vehicle versus motorcycle crash at the intersection of Morris Avenue and Coffee Road was not immediately available. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing by Modesto PD.
